[what did it cost? ...everything.]
A few days ago, I found an old sketch that I had left aside, initially parodying the logo of the cosmocats with the emblematic helmet of the falcon.
I initially refused to create something to mark the passing of kentaro miura (even a modest tribute), but a friend encouraged me to do so.
I hate the idea of rushing into a crowd movement around an event as tragic as a death (on a human scale obviously, but also a huge loss for the manga medium [/ sequential art]); without saying it's systematic, sometimes there are those people who see it only as the unhealthy expediency of attracting views (and it makes me sick), where others are actually showing their affliction and respect.
Anyway, I let myself be convinced and a few days after I had finished my catwoman, I at least scored the hit.
in itself, after a few modifications, it became closer to a sort of effigy of a coin dabbling in water under a sky tinged with red, itself chained to the conqueror's egg.
a minimalist echo at this key moment that is the eclipse. a reminder of the price to pay for the work of a lifetime. time, blood, tears and finally health ... but as Griffith himself has said: "I sacrifice them".
thank you kentaro miura for the imprint that you will have left by your determination.
